Winchester was where my lifelong journey of education began. I walked through the corridors of this school for 7 happy years - from the time I was a little boy in FS-1, until I was a slightly elder one, in Year 5.
When I left to India and returned four years later, I had definitely become a different person, and was eager to see how Winchester had become a different school as well.
At the blink of an eye, I instantly noticed the new infrastructure. Like most schools, Winchester’s buildings had changed over time - however, unlike them, it had changed for the better; the hallways were repainted, the tables were new, and not a smudge of dirt was in sight, though I'll admit that the improvised canteen menu was what intrigued me the most.
With all these changes, only a few things thankfully remained the same, such as the friendly, welcoming classmates as well as the understanding teachers.
Winchester has managed to improve itself, while keeping what I love about it intact. In fact, have been to a total of 5 schools in my life, and while every one of them has had an equal part in teaching me what I know, Winchester will always be the school who made me who I am.
